APY and Compounding Interest

Annual Percentage yield or the APY is the rate of return from a $NOVO investment with the compound interest factored in which includes interest earned from the initial deposit, plus the interest which therefore is returned on this.

This basically is a representation of profit rate one can actually accrue and this in fact is different than simple interest.
