A private key whose owner is granted the privilege of adding new blocks to a private blockchain when that key is used.
It is possible for one entity or a certain number of entities to hold it, this is also a variant of the popular Proof of Work paradigm, in which the approval of a transaction is not contingent on the participation of a number of nodes at random but rather on the participation of a set of nodes who have been delegated the ability to do so.
This approach is a lot quicker due to the dedicated privilege.
