The author of an ICO or the project team, developer(a) might establish a Hard Cap at the beginning or prior to the process of raising funds, this is the maximum amount of money for exchange of the coins or tokens that are on sale.
At this point, it has raised all the money it could, thus it will cease selling coins when the Hard Cap has been reached.
