On what is known as a “Test Net,” a developer of a cryptocurrency will put a newly developed dApp they created, contract or other application on the blockchain to the test or the blockchain itself.
This operates much like the official Live Net blockchain, but it does not affect the value that is connected with the original blockchain that is actively being used.
